To Members of Congress, If the reports are accurate—that Donald Trump is using a luxury Boeing 747-8 previously owned by the Qatari royal family as a personal or interim Air Force One—then you have a constitutional crisis on your hands. We have laws prohibiting federal officials from accepting gifts of significant value from foreign governments without Congressional approval. That includes gold-plated jumbo jets. If a regular government employee can’t accept a coffee over $20 without ethics training, how is a former president allowed to use a flying palace from a foreign monarchy? I demand you investigate this immediately. The American people are watching, and we expect equal enforcement of the law—no matter the office, no matter the party. Do your job. Sincerely,
