As a person who has traveled and lived within former Soviet countries, I know the insidious impact that Russian spying has on the public, trust levels, and ability to act democratically. The alleged activities by DOGE in accessing and potentially mishandling sensitive data from the National Labor Relations Board are deeply concerning. If proven true, the exfiltration of confidential information related to union organizing, labor complaints, and corporate trade secrets not only violates federal laws but also undermines the integrity and independence of this crucial agency. Even more alarming are the indications that data may have been illicitly transmitted outside of secure government systems, potentially exposing it to foreign adversaries like Russia. This represents an unacceptable breach of cybersecurity protocols and a direct threat to national security. Immediate action must be taken to shut down all unauthorized access points, conduct a comprehensive forensic investigation into the full scope of the data breach, and implement stringent safeguards to prevent any further compromise of government systems and information. Those responsible for these transgressions, regardless of their positions or affiliations, must be held fully accountable through appropriate legal channels. The American people deserve transparency on this issue and assurances that their private data will be fiercely protected against exploitation by anyone, foreign or domestic. Restoring public trust in our institutions is paramount. Please stop these actions before the harm to our nation and international relationships can't be undone.
