U.S. embassies: do not rely on U.S. for evacuation assistance from Middle East

To: Sen. Kim, Rep. Kean, Sen. Booker, Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in Budd Lake, NJ

March 9

American citizens abroad are reporting that they were never notified of evacuation recommendations from the United States government. They advise that they only know what is happening due to the media and a recent post from the United States government urging them to contact an emergency telephone number. After contacting that number, they report that they are redirected to embassies as the United States is only accepting callers from Israel at this time. Additionally, the embassies have prerecorded messages advising that the United States government should not be relied on for evacuation purposes and that no evacuation assistance is being offered to Americans in the Middle East at this time. In the meantime, you sit in your cushy position more or less doing nothing to aid the people here in the states and kicking back while people abroad are being ignored as well. We demand an explanation. What is happening? Why is it happening? And do you have any intention of stopping it ever?
