I urge you to demand immediate oversight of the Trump administration’s reported plan to revoke visas for up to 200,000 people seeking asylum. A mass visa revocation of this scale would be one of the largest in U.S. history. Before any lawful status is stripped away, Congress should require clear answers about who is affected, what legal process is being followed, and whether people with pending asylum claims, families, students, workers, or people with U.S. citizen relatives could be swept up without meaningful review. Due process is not optional. The United States cannot claim to be a country of laws while allowing the executive branch to cancel legal protections for hundreds of thousands of people through a blanket administrative action. I am asking you to do three things: 1. Demand a full briefing from the administration on the legal basis, scope, and implementation of this plan. 2. Require individualized review and notice before any visa or lawful status is revoked. 3. Publicly oppose any mass revocation policy that denies people a fair opportunity to make their case. Immigration law must be enforced fairly, transparently, and within constitutional limits. No administration should be allowed to erase due process at mass scale.
