Protect Our Privacy from Tech Oligarchy Overreach: Stop the DOGE Data Theft
To: Rep. Jayapal
From: A constituent in Seattle, WA
May 8
We, the undersigned, demand an immediate investigation and halt to the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) unconstitutional data consolidation efforts under the direction of Elon Musk and the Trump administration. This vast centralization of private data violates the 1974 Privacy Act, puts millions of Americans at risk of surveillance, manipulation, and loss of services, and removes critical checks on how personal information is accessed, stored, and exploited—including for corporate AI training without consent.
Demands:
1. Cease and Desist all data centralization by DOGE until all lawsuits and legal reviews are resolved.
2. Congressional Oversight Hearings on DOGE’s operations, funding, leadership, and cybersecurity practices.
3. Independent Cybersecurity and Ethics Review of any involvement by private companies or individuals (including Elon Musk and Starlink) in government data systems.
4. Restore and Reinforce the Privacy Act by passing new legislation that modernizes protections for digital and biometric data.
5. Block Use of Government Data for AI Training by any private entity without informed consent and robust public debate.
6. Protect Whistleblowers and Experts sounding alarms about FAA, NASA, and transportation safety compromises tied to tech billionaire interference.
Why This Matters:
Elon Musk is centralizing government data, dismantling safety oversight, and repurposing federal agencies to serve his Mars fantasies—all while privacy, environmental protections, and safety systems collapse around us. From silencing DEI efforts to asserting “free Martian governance,” this is not reform—it’s authoritarian technocracy wrapped in libertarian rhetoric.
