Please call on VP Harris to publish the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) that will enshrine gender equality in the Constitution. It already ERA cleared the threshold for ratification by 38 states (in fact it was during Trump’s first term). Because of Republican opposition and legal debates about the process, the National Archivist has yet to formally publish and certify the ERA as the 28th Amendment. By publishing the ERA, this administration can put guardrails on the incoming Administration and provide a critical tool for combating discrimination against women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people nationwide.
