This Is Dictatorship — Reinstate Revoked Social Security Numbers

To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Fitzpatrick

From: A constituent in Quakertown, PA

April 11

This is not the America I was raised to believe in. The Trump administration has now revoked over 6,000 Social Security numbers from immigrants who lawfully obtained them — in what can only be described as a calculated, authoritarian attempt to force people out of the country. No due process. No recourse. No humanity. Let’s be clear: this isn’t “immigration enforcement.” This is economic erasure — a deliberate move to strip people of the ability to live, work, bank, pay rent, or even exist within society. It’s a tactic straight out of the authoritarian playbook. For all Trump’s endless posturing about China, this move feels eerily familiar: punish, isolate, and erase. It’s dictatorial. It’s dangerous. And it should terrify anyone who cares about civil liberties. Let’s also talk economics: many of these individuals are taxpayers. This revocation doesn’t just destroy their lives — it removes contributors from our economy. It weakens our labor force. It undercuts the very infrastructure Trump claims to be protecting. This is more than an overreach. It’s a human rights violation masquerading as policy. You cannot let this stand. I urge you to demand a full investigation, fight for the reinstatement of these Social Security numbers, and hold this administration accountable for its lawless cruelty. We are watching. And we are furious.
