At a time when working families cannot afford housing, groceries and healthcare, we need to invest in the American people, not a bloated Pentagon budget which supports illegal and immoral wars in Iran, Gaza and Lebanon.
Unbelievably, the Trump administration is pushing for a $600 billion increase in the Pentagon budget. If this passes into law, the US will be spending $1.5 trillion on the military, more than the next fourteen countries combined.
But that’s not all.
Hidden in the military budget that Congress is considering is Section 224, a provision that quietly expands U.S.-Israel military cooperation and weapons development. This means more U.S. taxpayer money for Israeli weapons and the extremist Netanyahu government, with almost zero oversight.
Trump’s budget for the military is a disaster. Members of Congress must oppose it.
