Trump for grave violations of U.S. and international law stemming from his unauthorized actions against the sovereign nation of Venezuela. The forcible seizure and removal of a foreign head of state without congressional authorization constitutes an illegal use of force, a violation of the U.S. Constitution’s allocation of war powers, and a breach of international law. Article I of the Constitution clearly vests Congress—not the Executive—with the authority to authorize acts of war or military action against another nation. Acting unilaterally in this manner is not only unlawful, but sets a deeply dangerous precedent for executive overreach. Kidnapping a leader of a sovereign nation without congressional approval undermines international norms, exposes the United States to retaliation, destabilizes global diplomacy, and erodes the rule of law that our country claims to uphold. Such actions are not policy disagreements; they are serious offenses that demand accountability. Impeachment exists precisely for moments like this—when a president places themselves above the Constitution, disregards Congress, and engages in conduct that threatens both domestic democratic governance and international stability. Failure to act sends the message that presidents are effectively immune from consequences for illegal acts so long as they cloak them in claims of “national security.” I urge you to uphold your oath to the Constitution, defend the separation of powers, and take immediate steps to investigate and impeach Donald J.
