You need to reopen the government and stop just blaming Democrats for it. President Trump said publicly to “not negotiate with Democrats” when the CR stuck in the Senate was crafted. Since Republicans do not have a supermajority in the Senate, and cannot even get all Republican Senators to pass the pending CR, the fault of this impasse lies directly at the feet of President Trump and Congressional republicans. No amount of spin changes the facts on this situation. In the meantime, veterans like myself who work for our great federal government are suffering without paychecks, the administration insults those of who are furloughed. Get it together, pass an extension of the ACA credits, and get the government reopened.
