I am writing to urge you to continue supporting increased military assistance and arms sales to Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty, democratic institutions, and people against ongoing Russian aggression. The war in Ukraine is not just a regional conflict, it is a defining test of whether authoritarian powers can redraw international borders through force without consequence. Continued American support helps Ukraine defend itself while also strengthening global stability, reinforcing NATO deterrence, and protecting long-standing international norms that directly support U.S. national security interests. Providing Ukraine with the weapons and equipment it needs is a strategic investment that weakens a hostile adversary without requiring American troops to enter combat. Ukrainian forces have demonstrated remarkable resilience and effectiveness when given the proper tools to defend their country. Sustained support allows them to continue resisting aggression, protecting civilians, and preventing further destabilization across Europe. Additionally, many of these security assistance programs support American defense manufacturing jobs and maintain the readiness and modernization of our own defense industrial base. Supporting Ukraine is both a moral responsibility and a strategic necessity. I respectfully ask that you support legislation and funding measures that expand and accelerate military aid and arms transfers to Ukraine. The United States must remain committed to standing with our allies and defending the principles of sovereignty, freedom, and international security.
