As of 2/7, Musk has invaded the CFPB.
Since its creation out of the mortgage crisis in 2008, the CFPB has protected Americans by returning $17B to consumers.
Since the CFPB also monitors the auto industry it s VERY clear that Musk is going after it as a way to remove the regulations that protect consumers, and thus improve his personal bottom line.
Companies continue to show us that if they are not regulated they will do what is best for their owners, shareholders, and board members. Most of the government departments were established to fix something that was wrong. This continuing to gut them is a slap in the face of Americans, as it is clear the only thing that matters is making the wealthy richer.
Please make sure the agencies meant to protect Americans, like the CFPB, are protected.
