Ensure due process for Ricardo Prada Vásquez's immigration case

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Johnson

From: A constituent in Richardson, TX

April 23

The treatment of Ricardo Prada Vásquez is deeply concerning and a violation of due process. As a Venezuelan immigrant lawfully in the United States, he deserves access to the legal system and a fair hearing before any removal proceedings. The apparent 'disappearance' of Mr. Prada after his detention in January, followed by the Trump administration's belated claim that he was deported to El Salvador without proper procedures, represents a alarming erosion of civil liberties. I urge immediate transparency regarding Mr. Prada's current whereabouts and well-being. He must be located, returned to the United States if wrongfully deported, and afforded all rights under the law including the opportunity to make his case before an immigration judge. Extrajudicial deportations without due process Cannot be accepted in a nation built on principles of justice and human rights. I request ICE take swift action to locate Mr. Prada, confirm his safety, and uphold the rule of law in his case.
