USPS program

To: Sen. Capito, Rep. Moore, Sen. Justice

From: A constituent in Parkersburg, WV

September 2

Last night I listened with disbelief to Senator Blumenthal describe the plans for the postal service of the United States to launch a new program to dise nfranchise millions of voters. As you should know, this hastily launched computer program is scanning mail in ballots. If one ballot has a problem, then every ballot in that batch will be sent back to the sender. It's hard to understand why this program would be launched without further refinement two months before a federal election. It also appeared from the reporting that the USPS has ignored court orders to halt work on this project. This scenario gives every appearance of yet another blatant attempt to keep legitimate voters from voting. Or, in other words, it seems like an effort to steal this mid-term election. I know this is coming from"your side" but it will also prevent votes from Republicans from being counted. Are you going to do something, or will you continue to sit back and watch your constituents and the voters of this country get steam-rollered yet again. Is there anything that can get you to act to protect this democracy?
