I understand that under one currently proposed school vouchers bill, Elon Musk could receive up to $80,000 per year of public funds for school vouchers to send his 8 school age children to private school. This could total up to $1.2 MILLION paid to the richest (maybe not after the market drop?) man in the world paid from Texas taxpayer funds. Where is the common sense in paying school vouchers funds to billionaires? Who is looking out for working families? I urge you not to pass any school voucher bill paying billionaires to send their children to private schools when programs are being cut that help working Texas families.
