push mike johnson to do his job

To: Rep. Moore, Sen. Baldwin, Sen. Johnson

From: A constituent in Milwaukee, WI

November 4

I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you and your colleagues in Congress to press Speaker Mike Johnson to fulfill his duties and immediately swear in the duly elected new Representative. The people of that district deserve their voice and vote in the House of Representatives without delay. Every day that the Speaker refuses or delays this action is another day that American citizens are left without representation — a direct affront to the democratic principles on which this nation was built. The will of the voters has already been expressed through a fair and certified election; the Speaker’s role is administrative, not discretionary. It is deeply troubling to see political maneuvering take precedence over the basic function of governance. The Speaker’s first responsibility is to uphold the Constitution and ensure that the people’s House actually represents the people. I urge you to call on Speaker Johnson publicly and within your caucus to do his job — to seat the new member and restore full representation in Congress. Democracy cannot thrive when leadership chooses inaction or obstruction over duty. The American people deserve better. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your response and to seeing you stand up for accountability, transparency, and the constitutional integrity of Congress.
