The threat of using military force against a city is not a joke.

To: Sen. Grassley, Sen. Ernst, Rep. Nunn

From: A constituent in Des Moines, IA

September 6

As one of your constituents, I am deeply concerned about President Trump‘s latest threat against the city of Chicago and a recent posting untruth social. He made a comment indicating that he was going to show the people of Chicago with the war department could do. I find this to be beneath a president of the United States in the office and I find it absolutely disturbing. I’m asking why you are allowing the president to proceed with these kinds of actions without any kind of resistance I can only assume that you approve. I am asking you to announce these actions now and this language that the president uses now and take a legislative action immediately to prevent the use of the military to intimidate people for political means we all know that this is what’s happening what we are wondering is why you don’t act. I would like to request a response in writing.
