Weapons embargo on Israel until permanent ceasefire deal
To: V.P. Harris

The ongoing violence and human rights violations against Palestinians are deeply concerning. With an estimated 186,000 casualties and 2 million displaced in Gaza alone due to Israeli military actions, the United States' continued funding and supply of munitions to Israel enables these grave injustices. This not only violates international laws against illegal settlements and potential war crimes, but also contradicts domestic laws like the Leahy Law prohibiting assistance to violators of human rights. Prolonging this conflict through military aid is morally reprehensible, politically destabilizing for the region, and a fiscally irresponsible use of taxpayer funds. I urge an immediate cessation of military assistance to Israel until it ends its oppressive occupation and adheres to international human rights standards for all people.
