Why didn't you attend the redistricting hearing in Houston on Saturday? Blocking Governor Abbot's attempt to Gerrymander Texas even further in order to forment the Trump regime's authoritarian power grab is one of the most important measures in protecting our democratic system and principles. I was incredibly disappointed not to see your name on the list of democrat representatives who spoke out against redistricting at the meeting. Blocking Republican power grabs is crucial to any hope of preserving true representation in our government. It requires going above and beyond to make sure Democrat voices from every district are amplified. Al Green and Jasmine Crockett are out there everyday speaking up for Texans. Why is it that I see their names and hear their voices, but never yours, Julie Johnson? Do better.
