The Democratic majority in the Senate has a critical responsibility to combat the growing threat of fascism within our political system. A 4-day work week in the face of the threat to our system of government is completely unacceptable. You should resign your leadership position in favor of someone who understands the threats we are facing. It is unacceptable for this disturbing ideological cancer to fester and spread unchecked. Mere passive opposition is inadequate - bold, decisive action is imperative. As representatives of the people, sworn to uphold the Constitution and principles of democracy, complacency in the face of authoritarian forces actively subverting our republic is a dereliction of duty. Strong legislative measures must be enacted to fortify the guardrails of our institutions and hold accountable those who seek to undermine them. The very fabric of our nation is at stake. I implore you to rise to this existential challenge with the courage, resolve, and urgency it demands.
