Follow Pritzker’s lead - tell Trump that his militarized DHS is not welcome here

Thank you for your continued, public support for the rule of law rather than the rule of a despot. In keeping with that support, I urge you to stay strong in protecting Oregon’s status as a sanctuary state. It’s important to me and many others in Portland that Oregon doesn’t back down from supporting immigrants - no matter what illegitimate Federal pressure is brought. Governor Kotek, please take inspiration from Governor Pritzker, and make a clear public statement telling the Executive Branch and DHS they are not welcome here. Senator Pham and Representative Tran, please do the same. Portland is going to experience what DC has experienced unless we vigorously, loudly declare - as Governor Pritzker did - that the militarized deployment planned by Homan is not needed and is unwelcome.
