Affordability is not a hoax

To: Rep. Graves, Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley

From: A verified voter in Troy, MO

August 8

I am a widowed mother to a 19 month old little girl, and I am writing to you this evening to ask what you specifically are doing to address the affordability crisis. I had to get diapers for my child tonight. I also bought diaper cream, 5 snack pouches, coffee creamer, 2 apples, pancake mix, a loaf of bread, and a gallon of milk. All that was $70. I'm on a single income. I have other bills. All of the survivor benefits my daughter receives from my late husband's social security go to daycare, and then some. I work full time, in finance. My stomach shouldn't sink every time I walk into the grocery store. Because of runaway inflation, shrinkflation, the war in Iran, and corporate greed, your constituents are struggling. What are you doing about it?
