Uphold rule of law: Facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return.
The administration's refusal to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia despite the Supreme Court's clear ruling is an alarming violation of the separation of powers and the rule of law. By disregarding the Court's instructions and leaving a wrongfully deported U.S. resident indefinitely detained in a foreign prison, the executive branch is undermining a foundational principle of our democracy - that no individual or branch is above the law. This situation represents an unacceptable overreach of executive power and a dereliction of the government's duty to protect the rights of all residents. The deflection of responsibility between the U.S. and El Salvadoran governments is inexcusable, as they are obligated to work together to rectify this grave injustice swiftly. Allowing this to continue unchallenged would set a dangerous precedent that could enable further erosion of civil liberties and democratic norms. We urge immediate and decisive action to uphold the authority of the judiciary and safeguard the constitutional rights of all individuals under the jurisdiction of the United States. The legislative branch must assert its oversight role and hold the administration accountable for complying with the Court's mandate. Failure to do so would represent an assault on the system of checks and balances that is essential to preserving our democracy. The American people demand that our government operate within the confines of the law and respect the fundamental rights of all.
