Would it be possible for the Great Lakes Coalition and the states of Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan to sue for the permanent shutdown of the line 5 pipeline for threatening our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? The ever present threat of total pollution of Lake Michigan would certainly impose upon our right to life and the pursuit of happiness. We must shut it down, along with the nuclear facilities along the lake. We can’t drain and clean the lake after a major catastrophe, and we already have enough of a problem fighting pollution and having a thriving fish population.
