Since the Feds are holding back money normally used to fund programs for food and healthcare for low income people, here’s a good argument you can use to tax the California wealthy. The high income people use the low income people for labor, household help, personal services and many other things. In most situations they do not provide health benefits or housing or food assistance and their helpers are struggling. Taxing them so their helpers can survive and continue their work helps everyone. Make this case to wealthy people when you present the tax.
