JD Vance and Jared Kushner, neither of whom is a trained diplomat or negotiator, have unsurprisingly failed to achieve anything in Iran. Trump is now threatening a naval blockade, which far exceeds the executive war time powers and should require congressional approval. I beg of you, do not give that approval. We are the aggressors in Iran at the behest of Netanyahu, a trap multiple former presidents from both political parties avoided. Iran is going to end up with more power and money than they had before Trump backed out of the nuclear treaty, and we are already deeply in the wrong in this war. We've murdered children, we've deliberately targeted civilian structures, and we've aided Netanyahu's quest for unfettered supremacy in the Middle East without requiring moderation or Geneva Convention conduct from him as our ally. Do not let Trump escalate this war. Demand he seek congressional approval then deny it- the world needs calm, economic stability, and peace, and we owe Iran reparations for what we've done. Deescalate this war and send actual trained negotiators to speak with Iran to bring this conflict to an end.
