WHEN WILL THE EPSTEIN FILES ACTUALLY BE RELEASED?

To: Rep. Pfluger, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A verified voter in Mason, TX

November 19

Well that’s done. Congress passed a motion to compel the DOJ to release their Epstein files. And it’s expected DJT will sign it. Now what? DOJ has been mum the past few days. What will Congress do if they just ignore your request? And would anybody be surprised if that’s what they end up doing? But as it stands, the GOP Congress thankfully got cover from the big guy to vote on release of the files. So that will be some comfort to your constituents in 2026. Good thing the prez had a last-minute conversion to tell you to do the right thing. It would have been a real pickle for y’all if he hadn’t. In any case it’s progress. But at this point it might remain a performative gesture. We the people won’t be holding our collective breath waiting. DOJ will do anything they can to stall. Because there is no way Trump would all of a sudden reverse course on releasing materials he has been fighting for months to keep hidden with any real intent. Why do I think this? Because he can release the materials anytime he wants to. But he hasn’t. And he won’t. So while some of your members clutch pearls that a Rep from the Virgin Islands communicated with a constituent who unfortunately was Jeffrey Epstein, we are still left with a president who was his actual good buddy. And recent emails that expose close personal relationships with a myriad of movers and shakers that should have known better. And maybe did. When we read BS like this…”The American people expect honesty, the American people expect integrity and judgment from their elected officials. They expect members of Congress to conduct themselves with one word — decency — not to seek advice from a predator who exploited minor children,” Rep. [Ralph] Norman said on the House floor Tuesday. …we see the continued hypocrisy by a Republican Party that is perfectly happy to have a convicted sexual predator sitting behind the Resolute Desk. And has done everything they could to protect him from further scrutiny in that area, up to and until he gave them permission to go ahead and do the right thing. It’s only right that you voted to advance release of the Epstein files. But don’t pretend it was much of anything other than good politics. We’ll believe the sincerity when we actually see the files.
