The president has said "Whether or not approved by Congress he will institute voter ID," transparently attempting to eliminate Democratic leaning-groups such as women and trans people whose names do not match their birth certificates, and people in general who do not have easy access to their birth certificate or do not have a passport. at the same time this administration is incredibly weak and this is our moment, between now and the November election. Waiting until the election is too long to wait. We must act now to weaken this administration such that it cannot skew voting in 2026. This means certainly we must prevent passage of the SAVE Act but in addition I ask you my elected representatives to continue standing firm and aggressively hacking away at this administration's powers, thwarting and removing its appointees including but not limited to Kristi Noem, Russell Vought, Stephen Miller, as well as pushing back on ice, border patrol, and continuing to walk your own path with regard to budget which is after all the purview of Congress. You have been doing this and I ask you to continue what you've been doing and continue enrolling Republicans. I am extremely grateful for Republicans who have been standing with Democrats and Independents in support of democracy! I think I speak for most of us as Citizens of the United States Of America that we do not want what we do and create to be leverage by a few elites. We as a global civilization are rapidly becoming heir to great powers of technology including abundant energy and artificial intelligence, and the way we can use these powers responsibly and for the highest good of all is through collective decision making, not the choices of a few who would too easily squander the needs and safety of the majority of us, or enter into doomsday arms races fighting for dominance among themselves. This is our moment to make sure the USA does not fall into that trap.
