I'm so tired of hearing about the first thing to reduce the budget is reducing social security and veterans benefits. You don't know how difficult it is living on SSDI. I'm a single middle aged woman on disability. I receive approximately $1400/month. My rent is $900/month. The rest goes towards my bills. I don't have money for groceries. After all is said and done. I applied for food assistance and was only offered $28/months! Try living on $1400 in this economy. No one cares about us. We are discarded like yesterday's garbage. With more preposed cuts you will only achieve more money because people will be dying on the streets. There's no low income housing. Housing shouldn't be more than 30% of a person's income. Yet all the new housing developments are for the wealthiest among us. People are homeless and now homelessness is a crime in some states. Please don't let this continue. Please 🙏🏾
