You or your staffer recently wrote a firm letter to me that’s so full of falsehoods, it was difficult to read. You defend the big beautiful bill and go on to say Medicaid cuts won’t cause hospital closures, won’t cause people to go without healthcare, won’t cause children to lose their healthcare, won’t cause Seniors to lose their ability to access long term care ie….. nursing home care! Seriously! Your denial of this is a blatant falsehood! But don’t take my word for it! Ask your colleagues! Senator Collins, Murkowski, Hawley among others are stating just the opposite! Not democrats- your own colleagues! Because they realize that it will devastate their state! It will leave people dead as they won’t be able to get healthcare. It will cause hospital closures. It already has. According to the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority at least ten hospitals in rural Oklahoma closed their doors between 2005 and 2019 due to financial difficulties. Medicaid expansion has since slowed that down. Gutting Medicaid will devastate our state. Stating it won’t is not only unconscionable, it’s horribly misleading. You consider yourself Christian when you intentionally mislead people! You justify this by saying the able bodied will go to work and this will save the day! Again this is a falsehood. The able bodied on Medicaid are Already required to work. If you don’t know this, that’s sad as that information is readily available by the Oklahoma Healthcare authority. The big ugly budget resolution will also leave people on Snap without food. How do you justify this? Letting people go hungry? All to give billionaires, billionaire corporations and millionaires permanent and giant tax cuts! Shame on you! You state it won’t add to the deficit! Again you might want to check your facts as this is woefully incorrect. The Congressional budget office has stated this will add trillions to the deficit! Senator Johnson has gone on record saying he can’t agree to the big ugly bill for this reason precisely! You go on to talk about the importance of women’s healthcare to you! Seriously? The big ugly budget defunds planned parenthood ( which does not provide abortion services). It is the primary medical clinic for low income women who get mammograms and healthcare. This budget also guts protections for air, water and food. You conveniently don’t mention that! You do offer praise in your form letter for the stable coin. Shame on you! Crypto currency is unregulated and has no security whatsoever. Foreign investors wanting to influence our President are investing in crypto currency to win a seat at his table only to quickly dump crypto currency. Know this however, we are watching! We are all talking and as lives are hurt and people go hungry and goods become more expensive, it is you we will blame!
