We gotta push this Overton window LEFT. Hard. I’m a mom. I’m also Black, queer, living with cancer. I’m a woman. I’m Jewish. I’m GenX. I have a trans daughter I need to keep safe. For us: our choices are you or Canada. What our children need are the following: The right to bodily autonomy and all gender suppportive care, as well as abortion. The right to go to school without dying from firearms. They, and we, want an utter and total ceasefire on Palestine. Money and rebuilding to go DIRECTLY to Palestine. PROTECTION FOR THE PEOPLE OF PALESTINE - no more genocide! And that means no genocide in Congo or Sudan. Anywhere our tax dollars go , that supports the killing of people MUST STOP. The best way to achieve our climate needs is to give LAND BACK to all indigenous peoples, including Hawaii! Prioritizing their knowledge giving them control of things like the EPA. They should get final say on if a permit goes through. When they say no, No means No. Honor the treaties. We as a nation never have. Universal basic income and healthcare. Rent caps. Tax the wealthy all the way back to 1960. Leave our territories. It’s time to DEcolonize everywhere. Call to demilitarize our police. Push for sensible gun control. No one needs 300 handguns. No one needs an AK-47. I look forward to calling you Madame President.
