Thank you for fighting for democracy and healthcare, among other things. I support your stance on allowing the government to shut down if the republicans don't compromise on ACA credits, for example. (This issue is personal to me because our family receives a tax credit making ACA insurance affordable for us. Without the credit and with premiums set to skyrocket and with my insurance company leaving the Colorado market, this issue is front of mind and very concerning.) This shutdown is all on them and democrats do not need to be complicit in the overthrow of America as we knew it. Republicans control everything, so this is their doing. They'll blame democrats either way, so lean in! Own it and shout it out that: Trump shut down the government because dems wouldn't let him take away your healthcare. Trump is coming for your Social Security and Medicare next. Trump is why US farmers are going bankrupt. Trump is why groceries cost so much. Trump is why rent is so expensive and you don't have a living wage. Trump is why the military is in our streets. Go ahead and demand release of the full Epstein files while you're at it, and that Congress regains control of tariff decisions. We don't need to stand idly by while our great American experiment gets shredded. None of this is popular. We need to be more assertive and aggressive. Fight hard, improve messaging, save America!
