I urge an immediate, full, and impartial investigation into the reported torture and death of renowned surgeon Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh while in Israeli custody. Credible accounts describe him being beaten, abused, and ultimately dying under disturbing circumstances in an Israeli prison, representing a grave violation of human rights, medical neutrality, and the fundamental dignity of human life. Respect for the Geneva Conventions and human rights must be upheld, even in times of war. Those responsible must be held accountable to prevent a culture of impunity that perpetuates injustice and dehumanization. Justice and human rights for all people, regardless of nationality, must be vigorously defended.
