I’ve just watched California Governor Gavin Newsom’s heartfelt and passionate address against Trumpism and abuse of power. As a New Yorker, I hope that I will see a similar statement with similar passion in the near future from you. It’s desperately important that our leaders clearly say, “This is not normal” and call Trump out as the tyrant he seeks to be. Please speak soon, Governor. I am afraid every day that the chance to preserve democracy in the US is running out.
