You seem to have plenty of time to go on Newsmax and attack James Talarico in Texas, yet remarkably little time to engage with the people you’re actually elected to represent in West Virginia.
Talarico meets with constituents. Your opponent, Ace Parsi, is actively engaging with communities across our district. Meanwhile, you fill your social media with religious proclamations, partisan attacks, and political theatrics while remaining conspicuously silent on the issues West Virginians need addressed.
Your October 14 debate was particularly revealing. You appeared unprepared to answer substantive questions, avoided looking directly at your opponent, and resorted to attacking his Iranian heritage and questioning his credibility with accusations about paid protesting. Ace Parsi’s background does not make him any less American. That kind of rhetoric is disgraceful coming from someone sworn to uphold the Constitution.
You apparently have no trouble condemning another candidate’s interpretation of Christianity while using religion as a centerpiece of your own political identity. The hypocrisy is glaring.
West Virginians didn’t elect you to be a religious commentator, a Newsmax personality, or a mouthpiece for partisan outrage. We elected you to represent us.
Stop obsessing over Texas. Stop hiding behind scripture and political attacks. Start answering questions, holding accessible public town halls, and doing the job taxpayers pay you $174,000 a year to do.
You owe West Virginia representation, not a sermon.
