Stand up for Jennifer Vasquez Sura and her children

To: Rep. Salinas, Sen. Merkley, Sen. Wyden

From: A constituent in Wilsonville, OR

April 26

The DHS has posted a court document with the name AND ADDRESS of Kilmar Abrego-Garcia's (American-born!) wife to X. Speak up and call for them to provide to Congress (not the public, Congress) information on which personnel were involved in this decision and what is being done to ensure there is no repeat of this. Either the Department of Homeland Security, acting for this Republican Administration, has decided that citizen and witness intimidation is in their best interest, or they are willfully careless with the lives and safety of American citizens. There was no need to release this with the address unredacted. She is trying to get her husband (who had a legal right to remain and who was deported in error) returned to her family. If he has committed crimes, he should have due process for those crimes and THEN be served / deported / whatever according to the findings of the court. And neither she nor her children deserve to be treated as disposable victims in this controversy. They don't deserve to have their privacy stripped away and their location broadcast to the world because of this. They don't deserve to fear for their safety. Speak up. This should never have happened. Do not stand with this administration, or stand silent, while they terrify anyone, most especially American citizens.
