I am writing in absolute outrage and alarm over credible and repeated reports of ICE agents shooting and killing U.S. citizens, kidnapping citizens without warrants, beating them, and abandoning them on roadsides as if the Constitution no longer applies in the United States of America.
These are not law-enforcement actions.
These are Gestapo-style tactics.
If even a fraction of these allegations are true, ICE is no longer operating as a civilian agency under the rule of law—it is acting as a paramilitary force for a regime, unaccountable, unchecked, and contemptuous of due process, habeas corpus, and basic human rights.
Let me be clear:
• ICE has no authority to detain, assault, disappear, or kill U.S. citizens.
• No agency has the right to operate in secret, without warrants, without identification, and without accountability.
• No government may claim “law and order” while engaging in extrajudicial violence.
Kidnapping citizens off the street.
Beating them.
Dumping them on the side of the road.
Shooting and killing Americans without due process.
These are the actions of authoritarian police states, not constitutional republics.
Congress’s silence is not neutrality—it is complicity.
I demand, immediately:
1. A full, public congressional investigation into ICE’s use of force against U.S. citizens.
2. Subpoenas of ICE leadership, field commanders, and DHS officials.
3. Immediate suspension of any agents involved in alleged shootings, beatings, or unlawful detentions pending investigation.
4. Criminal referrals where evidence supports assault, kidnapping, or homicide.
5. Clear statutory limits and enforcement mechanisms to prevent ICE from operating as a secret police force.
History will remember who spoke up—and who looked away—when Americans were brutalized by their own government.
You took an oath to the Constitution, not to an agency, not to a regime, and not to fear.
