I am writing to urge you to vote NO on the confirmation of Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to a permanent position. We need an Attorney General whose primary loyalty is to the United States Constitution, not to any single politician. Under Mr. Blanche’s recent tenure, the Department of Justice has experienced an unprecedented crisis. Over 16,000 experienced personnel have left the agency, including a staggering 25% of all career federal lawyers.This mass exodus of non-partisan, neutral professionals is actively making American communities less safe for three critical reasons: - It stalls vital safety and security investigations: When thousands of veteran fraud and cyber-crime experts walk out the door, complex cases against corporate scammers, identity thieves, and foreign cyber-hackers grind to a halt. This leaves everyday citizens and small businesses completely unprotected. - It invites government overreach and favoritism: Clearing out independent, career lawyers leaves a vacuum. It allows any administration to replace independent legal experts with political loyalists. Law enforcement must be blind to politics, protecting the rule of law rather than weaponizing the state against everyday Americans. - It cripples local enforcement and basic constitutional rights: The loss of experienced personnel deeply weakens the department’s ability to protect communities from fraud, defend basic voter access, and ensure that local law enforcement agencies operate within constitutional boundaries. An Attorney General must protect the non-partisan spine of our justice system, not drive out the professionals who keep us safe. Please stand up for equal justice, law and order, and the Constitution by voting NO on Todd Blanche.
