End qualified immunity, accountability matters.

Given that recent history has revealed that law enforcement can no longer be blind faith trusted, it is time to end qualified immunity for law enforcement personnel. Qualified immunity prevents victims of law enforcement abuse from obtaining justice and holding people accountable for their actions and behavior, a fundamental bedrock of a thriving society. Qualified immunity also attracts the wrong type of person into law enforcement, one who seeks and desires to exhibit power over others knowing they will not be held personally accountable for their actions, a get-out-of-jail-free card as such. Accountability is so fundamental to a successful society. EVERYONE should be held accountable for their behavior. Not doing so weakens society and deems equals justice a fairy tale.
