I am writing to express my deep and urgent concern regarding the unlawful deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the horrifying conditions within El Salvador’s CECOT mega-prison, which I believe constitutes a modern-day extermination camp. This situation is a human rights catastrophe that demands immediate global attention. The removal of Kilmar Abrego Garcia was not only unjust—it was illegal. He was denied due process, and his deportation reflects a failure of the legal system to uphold even the most basic human rights. These actions echo the darkest chapters of history. Let me be clear: this is our Holocaust. The world said “Never Again,” yet we are witnessing systematic dehumanization, mass incarceration without trial, and state-sanctioned violence under the guise of security. CECOT is not a correctional facility—it is a site of cruelty, torture, starvation, and death. People are vanishing into this prison without charges, without trials, and without hope. The international community must recognize it for what it is: a human rights crisis and a stain on the conscience of our time. Equally troubling is the role of Pam Bondi, who has propagated lies and misinformation about Mr. Abrego Garcia. Her actions are not only morally indefensible but legally questionable. Her conduct warrants investigation, and in my view, she should be disbarred. The legal profession must not protect those who distort truth and use their power to harm the most vulnerable among us. I urge every elected official, human rights advocate, and legal authority to demand transparency, justice, and accountability. We must act now—before more lives are lost, before more truth is buried, and before this crisis becomes another chapter in a history we swore we would never repeat.
