I am disappointed to hear that the Senate Dems are looking to cave and allow passage of the spending bill.
I understand both options are horrible and will hurt us. A choice must be made however. The CR gives agreement from Congress that the president can do what he wants. Voting no on the CR I understand the president can still do what he wants but it isn't sanctioned by Congress, by US. Face it - he's screwing us and doing what he shouldn't do either way. But voting for his resolution is saying we agree. Until we can remove him from office, get a majority (who knows if that will happen), we HAVE TO DO WHAT WE CAN DO.
So I am asking the Senator to stand firm - NO Cloture and a NO vote on the CR.
Then scream far and wide that the Repubs have shut it down and why. Over and over and over. Get as much facetime with the public as you can. This is how they tear us down - lies over and over and over. The truth needs to be yelled just as loudly and just as frequently.
Please. We are counting on the Senator standing for us and we understand there are no good choices. But this IS a point we can stand on and we should.
