WHAT WAS YOUR OBJECTIVE I WONDER

To: Rep. Pfluger, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A verified voter in Mason, TX

May 23

Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas. Woo doggies. Sitting here, listening to the rain, thinking about being productive, but thought I would spend one last minute watching my junior Senator from Texas debate the merits of certifying a presidential election. With Kaitlin Collins, in Barbie hot pink, who asked what should have been a simple question… Collins: In 2024, will you certify the election results, do you plan to object, or will you accept the results regardless of who wins the election? Cruz: So Kaitlan, I’ve gotta say I think that’s actually a ridiculous question. Collins: It’s a yes-or-no question. Cruz: No, it’s not. Let me explain why it’s a ridiculous question: Have you ever asked a Democrat that? And we’re off to the races. The mansplaining commenced. In an unstoppable torrent of language designed to divert and obfuscate with its brilliance. Unfortunately for my Senator the little lady was unimpressed. But she was certainly impressive. Instead of the usual, ‘let them say what they will then just move on’, she talked back. And she never got her yes or no answer. If this was some sort of rehabilitation tour to convince us that you’ve somehow become more moderate, more reasonable, more human, I think it missed the mark. All it did was convince me to donate to Colin. Again. If you can’t answer a simple yes or no question, even as a long-winded smartest guy in the room politician, about one of the most basic pillars of our country’s Democratic foundation, who needs ya? However, based on what I heard I look forward to your objection to the election results if DJT is the winner.
