I'm writing to ask that Representative Latimer speak out against the FDA decision to limit COVID vaccines to those over 65. The FDA and HHS should follow the science, but instead are playing with the health and safety of the American public.I work in a school, take public transportation to/from the city for work, and my 84 y old mother who I am the primary support for just completed a round of chemo. I could not get a covid shot this past fall because I was dignosed with a heart condition. If I am okay, I (age 58) want one in the fall). Also, NPR just reported (https://substack.com/redirect/c781d613-f7aa-4dba-818d-853466099e04?j=eyJ1IjoiNDl0YnIifQ.vDiLZfK6vOtHbXaLEJWvwpXYuWxLRfcWJMg0Vly4OnQ) that the CDC has stopped communicating with the public completely through its newsletters, alerts, or its social media platform. Nothing has been heard from them since March. Meanwhile we have at least three major disease outbreaks happening right now. Our public health system is under attack and I’m scared. People are going to die. Americans expect the government to provide information about things that endanger our health. Please push the HHS to allow the CDC to do its job of communicating with the public. Thanks.
