INVOKE THE 1973 WAR POWERS ACT! Our Servicemen & Servicewomen Deserve Better

To: Sen. Young, Sen. Banks, Rep. Messmer

From: A verified voter in Mount Vernon, IN

March 26

As a very concerned constituent and American, I am writing to tell you to invoke the 1973 War Powers Act, requiring the removal of U.S. Armed Forces from, or against, Iran within 60 days, unless Cong ress authorized action or declared war! Rein in Trumps reckless and dangerous behavior. There’s reporting that Iranian forces are rapidly laying mines, strengthening air defenses, and preparing for a potential U.S. ground operation aimed at seizing the island. Kharg Island processes roughly 90% of Iran’s crude oil exports, making it the backbone of the country’s economy and a key flashpoint for global energy markets. Any escalation here could have massive consequences—disrupting oil supply, driving up global prices, and triggering broader conflict across the region. This is a rapidly developing and extremely high-stakes situation. One thing is clear: Iran is prepared for a U.S. invasion and is ready to fight back. DO NOT SEND OUR SERVICEMEN AND SERVICEWOMEN TO BE MASSACRED! Stop this dangerous insanity. Now!
