On this Mother's Day in Kentucky, in addition to celebrating the mothers in my life, I thought of the mothers and their families whose lives are in danger from the Rafah invasion. Negotiations with the hardline Israeli government and Hamas have obviously not worked and innocent people are paying the price. It's past time for the international community and especially the US to put pressure on Israel for a permanent ceasefire and to let more aid in now. There has been far too much death already. Thank you for your time and I implore you to speak up for what's right - an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
