An Open Letter

To: Sen. Porfirio, Rep. Rashid

From: A constituent in Berwyn, IL

October 9, 2025

Please do something to get ICE and Trump's invasion force out of Illinois. Constituents are relying on you to protect them. This is the most urgent issue facing our community in years. We need the legislature to assert all the power it has to stop these human rights abuses and defend Illinoisans' rights to freedom of speech and assembly. We are relying on you to stop the march of fascism on our neighborhood streets while it can still be stopped. Help us!
