Medicaid cuts target vulnerable Nebraskans who voted you into office

To: Sen. Fischer, Sen. Ricketts, Rep. Bacon

From: A constituent in Papillion, NE

May 14

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed cuts to Medicaid and other essential safety net programs in the new budget. It is deeply troubling that these cuts are being proposed alongside plans to further reduce taxes for the wealthiest Americans. This approach not only harms our most vulnerable neighbors but also sends a clear message about whose interests are being prioritized. Time and again, we see legislation that seems to target the middle class and the poor, while enriching those who are already thriving. This is neither fair nor sustainable. I urge you to stand against any budget that guts Medicaid or undermines programs that support working families, children, seniors, and people with disabilities. Where do your priorities lie? I hope they lie with middle class Nebraskans who need your support the most.
