An Open Letter

To: Sen. Marshall, Rep. Mann, Sen. Moran

From: A verified voter in Hutchinson, KS

April 10

A budget bill will be coming up for a vote soon. I expect you to listen to your constituents and vote NO on any bill that includes tax cuts of any size for the wealthy. Do not for one second believe that you can make cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, or the VA in order to make the very wealthy even wealthier. I keep wondering how absolutely addled a person's brain has to be in order to believe that hurting the middle class and the poor is ok as long as it's to increase the wealth of the already rich. And, NO, trickle down never ever works. St Ronnie sold that bill of goods decades ago. I think most of us are onto it now and are no longer fooled by it. One more thing - do NOT, under any circumstances, believe that you can sell off our National Parks for those tax cuts. Or our national forests. You could, however, limit the number of golfing weekends the pres takes each month. You could quit paying musk/doge millions of dollars to destroy our government. As it stands now I'd estimate that it's going to take decades to repair the damage they've done. And WHAT have they done with all the equipment, furniture, and supplies, etc that they've removed from those empty offices? We're smart enough to figure out that all of that stuff will have to be replaced when those fired employees are returned to work. You might want to keep in mind that photo ops are not town halls.
