I’m very concerned about the electric shock gloves that DHS plans to buy for ICE agents. It is horrifying enough to learn that such things are already in use in prisons and schools; with the track record ICE has established, we can be absolutely certain ICE will use the gloves abusively and perhaps lethally. (Even their manufacturer-recommended use looks unconstitutional to me.) It is also easy to imagine that some agents will take the gloves home and use them on their families. These gloves should not exist at all and should be banned everywhere, but at the very least they should be kept out of/off of the hands of our own Gestapo. Please do everything in your power to prevent these torture devices from becoming part of the ICE arsenal. Thank you.
