Vote no on HR 1526 it's unconstitutional

To: Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff

From: A constituent in Modesto, CA

April 18, 2025

I urge you to oppose H.R. 1526, the so-called "No Rogue Rulings Act of 2025." This bill would unconstitutionally restrict the power of federal district courts to issue injunctive relief, a crucial check on executive overreach. It would prevent courts from blocking unlawful policies that harm many people across multiple states. Stripping courts of this authority jeopardizes judicial independence and undermines our system of checks and balances. Moreover, the bill raises serious constitutional concerns by allowing a three-judge panel to essentially overrule district court decisions on injunctions. This concentration of power undermines due process. Protecting judicial authority to provide injunctive relief when warranted is essential for safeguarding individual rights and maintaining accountability in our democracy. I encourage you to uphold the separation of powers and vote against this dangerous legislation.
